AIM Companies

AIM (Association of Insurance Management) is a national marketing organization specializing in assisting various associations in the provision of benefits and related services to their membership.

Objective: AIM required a new website:

• to offer online insurance policy rates and complete purchase transactions;
• to improve usability for association members;
• to provide new tools to help associations in the management of benefits & services;

The new site had to include content management capability and reduce the cost associated with provision of products and services to AIM clients and partners.

Solution: DJiNN worked with designers to implement a JADE-based website that provided all of the functionality required, including:

• product catalogue & catalogue management;
• product pricing calculator;
• transaction processing;
• client policy document repository;
• complete content management capability for AIM non-technical site managers; and,
• a clean, intuitive site design.

Technology: The following technology is employed in the AIM website:

• JADE web management system
• MySQL RDBMS (database)
• JSP presentation layer (web pages)
• Apache/Tomcat web server platform

Project Statistics: The deployment was completed within 60 days on time and on-budget. DJiNN is currently working with AIM to upgrade their website to provide new services to members and provide full management capabilities via secure channel to a corporate Intranet.
